I frequently have to upload very large files overnight via WeTransfer or FTPs just Windows keeps going to sleep and stopping / pausing the uploads. Is there a way I can tell Windows to stay awake when I'm uploading?
When I used Macs I was able to cheque something in the settings like, "Wake for network action" and my Mac always finished information technology's transfers. How do I do that on Windows?
I've gotten around this in the by by going to Settings > Power & Sleep > and turning Sleep to Never. Just I'd rather not accept to switch this on EVERY fourth dimension I upload something. I desire my computer to sleep afterwards some time unless I'grand uploading.
Thanks!

The Slumber setting does say on Never unless I change it dorsum but, equally I mentioned before, I want my reckoner to slumber after some time unless I'm uploading. I don't want my computer constantly running and using power if I'm non using it.
Ah, I see. Endeavor this then to keep network activity functional during slumber manner since I don't think Win 10 has the option to keep itself from going to sleep during file transfer. https://world wide web.top-password.com/web log/prevent-windows-10-from-disconnecting-network-during-sleep/
Windows does have a wake-on-LAN feature that boots information technology through cyberspace if it does fall to sleep https://world wide web.groovypost.com/howto/enable-wake-on-lan-windows-10/
If none of these work, my last janky solution would be to only write a simple program to force windows to press a fundamental every specified interval until a sure amount of times you deem necessary for the files to go through.

You shouldn't have to keep changing information technology, it should remain at that setting after doing information technology the first fourth dimension.
The Slumber setting does say on Never unless I change it back simply, equally I mentioned before, I want my computer to sleep subsequently some time unless I'm uploading. I don't want my computer constantly running and using ability if I'm not using information technology.

Ah, I come across. Try this so to go along network action functional during sleep fashion since I don't think Win ten has the option to keep itself from going to slumber during file transfer. https://www.top-countersign.com/weblog/forbid-windows-x-from-disconnecting-network-during-sleep/
Windows does have a wake-on-LAN characteristic that boots it through internet if it does fall to slumber https://www.groovypost.com/howto/enable-wake-on-lan-windows-ten/
If none of these piece of work, my last janky solution would exist to just write a simple programme to force windows to press a central every specified interval until a certain amount of times you lot deem necessary for the files to go through.
